Hello, friends! The Greetery has a fun little surprise mini release happening today, so I’ve got a couple cute cards to share with you, featuring the new goodies from the “Hey Honey, It’s Summer!” Collection!
Let me tell you all about them!

For this first one, I wanted to incorporate some green into the water, so I started with a green card front. I used the new Making Waves stencil, embossing folder, and die to create the waves that I layered on top! Isn’t that such a pretty die cut?! I die cut it first, then ran it through the die cutting machine in the embossing folder and then lastly, laid the stencils on top and blended ink on it.
For the fish, I cut out all the elements from white card stock and ink blended to add the color. The sentiments are all from the new Hey Honeycomb Summer Sentiments stamp set and I stamped another one of them on a little tag from the Sentiment Suite Basics die set.
I added the fish eye with a black pen right through the hole on the die, just like a stencil. And lastly, I added one of the new honeycomb balls to top it off!

For this one, I embossed a panel of light aqua card stock and then used some turquoise inks with the stencils, to add some color. I created this fish in the same way as the first one, but this time, I cut everything from colored card stock before adding the ink blending.
Once the fish was positioned on the front, I added the window panel to give the feel of an aquarium or fish tank. I created that with the Capsule Basics dies and some woodgrain card stock, and lastly, stamped another of the sentiments from the Hey Honeycomb Summer Sentiments stamp set.

And here they both are, with those fun honeycomb balls opened up!! So cute, right?!!
PRO TIP: Of course, this darling fish would be super cute even without the honeycomb balls! You could have all sorts of fun ink blending on his belly to create lots of different colorful fish! OR! Picture a whole background pattern created with a variety of fish lined up in rows, maybe one row headed to the right, the next row headed left, etc. Or you could have them all headed in the same direction like a little school of fishies, with some of them overlapping one another!
Be sure to check out the post over at The Greetery for all the fun happening there! And then you can hop around to the gals on the Design Team and see what each of them created, too!
