The Greetery: The Evergreen Collective

by Dawn

Hey there, friends! Welcome back for week 2 of new product introductions from The Greetery! Today’s new products are some fun ones, including a couple you’ll be able to use year round!

Here’s what I’ll be showing you today, in case you want to take a peek:

Brimming Baskets Die
Brimming Baskets Embossing Folder
Berry Bouquet Builder Die
Teeny Tags Holiday Stamp Set
Teeny Tags Die
Bow-tique Holiday Stamp Set
Bow-tique Holiday Die

For this first card, I used the Capsule Quilt Shop Background Stamp and Capsule Quilt Shop Embossing Folder that were released last week, to create the background panel.

PRO TIP: Stamping the background stamp with a tone-on-tone ink and then embossing it, creates such a beautiful, textural background, without it interrupting too much of what the focal point is doing. It just creates some nice, subtle interest in the back, with the gorgeous basket full of stems taking center stage.

Next up, I used the Brimming Baskets Die to die cut some kraft card stock and then embossed it with the Brimming Baskets Embossing Folder.

PRO TIP: Use a blending brush to blend a bit of brown ink onto the raised parts of the basket, to give it even more depth!

I used the Berry Bouquet Builder Die to cut out all the greenery bits and bobs for the basket.

PRO TIP: I feel like a broken record but glitter card stock somewhere on your card, adds such a touch of holiday cheer without it being totally over-the-top! And adding it in unexpected places (like greenery sprigs) is just plain fun!

I finished it off with a Teeny Tags Die stamped with a Teeny Tags Holiday Stamp Set and I hung that on a little bow die cut with the Diamond Ribbons Bow Die!

How sweet is this?! I used a Capsule Basics die to cut out a dark green oval and then used the Rosemal Reflections Embossing Folder to emboss both the oval and a lighter green card stock panel. I adhered the dark green capsule on the lighter green panel, and then topped it with a bit of red glitter card stock that I cut out with a Capsule Filigree Borders Die.

Next, I used the new Bow-tique Holiday Stamp Set and Bow-tique Holiday Die to create the fun Christmas tree. I topped it with a glitter star using the same die set, and then cut several of the new Teeny Tags Die cuts and used those as ornaments on the tree!

PRO TIP: Again, glitter card stock for the win! It truly adds so much pizzazz in real life!

All righty then, that’s it for me today, but be sure to visit The Greetery Blog, as well as all the gals on the Design Team!
