Hello, friends! It’s my turn to share a project for The Greetery and I decided that my birthday card stash was seriously depleted. This was the perfect time to restock, so I pulled out the recently released Pretty Picado suite of products and went to town! I had a few leftover die cuts and such on my desk after this last release, so I used some of those and whipped up a stack of quick cards that are so fun and colorful!

These cards are pretty quick to come together, thanks to these fun dies, stamps, stencils and embossing folder! I used the Pretty Picado dies to cut out the entire background on the first card. This one is SO fun because you can do any color combo you can dream up! Layer the cut piece on top of another color of card stock and BAM! Background done! On all of them, I used sentiments from Pretty Picado Sentiments. And of course, I layered the sentiment on some layers using a Capsule Basics die, topped with the smaller pinked edge die from Capsule Star Studded Borders.

For the second one, I used the Pretty Picado 3D Embossing Folder on the background and then layered up some die cuts.
PRO TIP: If you pair two of the Pretty Picado Banners die cuts end to end, you can create really pretty background layers!! Look at that fun pink scalloped border!!

PRO TIP: Also, the soft pink layer is one that I cut with one of the Capsule Star Studded Borders. I used the star border on another project but this negative piece also makes a fun and interesting layer when added to a card with lots of other things going on!

More of the same goodies here, as well as one of the Pretty Picado Borders dies used at the bottom. I also accented the sentiment with some Pretty Picado Blooms die cuts.

For this one, I layered up two of the borders and ran one of them through the die cutting machine with the 3D embossing folder, too! So pretty!
PRO TIP: I made sure to allow enough space for each of the borders to really be able to be seen, without them distracting from each other if they’d been stacked too closely. ALSO, I let the smaller one hang over the edge of the card, clear away from the card base, so that the white base didn’t show through just part of that border detail and detract from the design being clearly visible. Those pretty borders needed to really be able to sing!

On the last two, I used the Pretty Picado stencils to create the backgrounds and then also ran one of them through the die cutting machine with the 3D embossing folder for added texture. You can really play with color combinations with those stencils! And goodness, there are still a zillion other cards I could have made with these products, but that’s all I had time for today. I hope they’ve given you some fun inspiration! Who needs to beef up their birthday card stash now?
