Late Summer Thank You With the Greetery

by Dawn

Hello, friends!  Time for some more summertime goodness from The Greetery. I can’t seem to quit with the tomato cards, and I needed a few more thank you cards (when do I not need more thank you cards?! Ha!) so I pulled out some Tile Style goodies, along with BotaniCuts Tomato and the Tomato Tomato stamp set.

For this first card, I used the Tile Style Background stamp and stamped that fun background. I just did tone on tone with the same ink and card stock. Love that look. The background is interesting but not too distracting from the focal point (the tomatoes).

PRO TIP: I love using woodgrain card stock with the tomato products. It just adds a touch of farm stand feel, and then when paired with some pretty tile patterns, it sort of gives “farm stand in Italy”! 🙂

For this one, I went a bit more subtle with the background, and used the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Tiles embossing folder. The texture is soooooo pretty but the pattern is more subtle on this card, than on the first one.

PRO TIP: Don’t forget to add a bit of ink blending to your tomatoes and leaves. It truly doesn’t take much to add a slightly more realistic touch as well as making them more interesting to look at, and if you use Distress Oxide inks, you can layer ink colors right on top of darker colored card stocks. Works great! I think the most fun part about making these tomato clusters, is NOT making every tomato exactly the same! It’s what makes them look more realistic and just more fun, too! Change up the card stock colors. Or add different touches of ink to some of them.

Again, I used some woodgrain card stock and this time die cut it with one of the Tag Team Duo dies, to give it a bit of a farm stand sign feel. So fun!

In both cases, all the sentiments are from the Tomato Tomato stamp set.

Did you get any of the new tomato or tile goodies from the previous release? Or do you have something in your stash you could use to make something comparable? I’d love to hear!

Have a great day, friends!
